Both men and women are experiencing some type of hair thinning or bald spots on the head by the time they reach the age of 50.  Hair thinning for men can start as early as  17 years of age and by the time they reach their 30′s they will have noticeable bald spots on the head or hair thinning.  We are also seeing hundreds of women losing hair in their early 30′s.  This problem is becoming so large that it can no longer be ignored by doctors.

Hair loss can be gradual.  It can take 3 – 10 years before hair thinning becomes noticeable.  Most clients will not seek help until they can no longer cover bald spots.

When you see these signs contact a trichologist a specialist in resolving hair loss issues or a dermatologist.   You may contact your medical doctor to determine if there are any underlying medical conditions causing hair loss or bald spots on the head. Dry and itchy Scalps Can Cause  – Hair Breakage, Bald Spot on the Head or Crown

 

Today we will discuss how to get rid of dry hair and itchy scalps and what to do about  flaky scalps with dandruff.   Majority of people I see with these problems are because of the following reasons:

 

  • Products used daily that leave a residue on the hair and scalp
  • Poor Diet
  • Insufficient water intake
  • Poor nutrition
  • Not enough omega-3 to support the health of the hair and body

There are thousands of products on the market today that are made with ingredients that leaves a coating or residue on the hair and scalp.

Because  of products that  build up on the hair and scalp over a period of time, some people experience excessive itching, hives or scalp irritation when used on a regular basis.
